This sweet necklace features a stainless steel sugar skull pendant paired with moonstone, amethyst, kunzite, lepidolite, and Czech glass seed beads. There's also a pair of carved mother of pearl roses, one on either side of the pendant.
Like everything I make, this piece is made with love and infused with Reiki. It would even make a lovely set of unconventional prayer beads!
The approximate length of this piece as shown is 24 3/4". For size reference, the neck of the bust is about 11 1/2"; the artist's neck is 17 1/2".
The crimp beads, pendant bail, bead caps and spacers are sterling silver. All other metal components are hypoallergenic, high quality stainless steel.
Everything is strung on sturdy, flexible, nylon-coated 49-strand stainless steel beading wire.
Metaphysical Properties
Amethyst is a type of quartz. It is calming, harmonizing, and good at drawing peaceful energy. It is a wonderful healing stone, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Amethyst can be used to aid in all kinds of psychic work, including enhancing one's intuition. It can be used to protect travelers and to ward off psychic attack. Like garnet, amethyst was often worn or carried into battle as a protective amulet. Helpful with past life recall. Really, amethyst is just a generally wonderful all-purpose stone!
Lepidolite is a type of mica; its name comes from the Greek words for "scale" and "stone", as it is often found in scale-like formations. It is a wonderful stone for calming, relaxation, forging trust and finding balance. This is a great stone to help you make your way through a period of transition. Wear to foster self-love, patience with oneself and others, success in business, and purging of negative or harmful emotion that no longer serves you. Use to ease symptoms of depression, anxiety and other potentially debilitating mental health issues -- but be warned that the effects can be swift and intense, and only wear it when you are ready to activate its energy in your life. Can help ease hormone imbalances, immune system issues and more; can also be used for general healing. Wonderful for dreamwork and forging connections with the divine, spirits and our higher selves. Useful for chakra balancing, especially the heart, crown and third eye.
Kunzite is a stone of gentle healing, dissolving walls built around the heart for protection and opening the heart to unconditional love. Aids in aura clearing, soothes heartache and anxiety; can also protect from the influence of bullies. Increases intuitive abilities while protecting from negative energetic influences. Use this sweet stone to help you remain calm if you have a tendency toward road rage or panic attacks; working with kunzite may also help those with PTSD to remain calm when triggers occur. Physically, kunzite may help with symptoms of PMS, hormonal imbalances, neuralgia, joint pain, depression and stress, as well as side effects of anesthesia. This lovely stone helps balance and connect the heart and crown chakras. Kunzite naturally contains lithium; holding the crystals means absorbing trace amounts of this chemical, and it's impossible to overdose! When you have difficulty letting go of things over which you are powerless, ask kunzite to help you become unstuck.
Moonstone was used by ancient people in love spells and to divine the future. It is universally recognized as having a connection to the moon and the divine feminine. Use it to enhance intuition and soothe anxiety. Like pearl, moonstone is graceful and strong, while being quite beautiful as well. It can be used to make a talisman for connecting with water. Use moonstone to aid in relief of symptoms related to hormonal issues. Moonstone is used to balance the third eye and solar plexus chakras, and is a June birthstone. Use it to help you find luck in a new beginning, or to enhance creative inspiration.
Silver increases perception and balances emotion. It enhances the moon's energy and can be helpful in energizing other minerals during full and new moons. The color silver is often associated with goddess(es), the moon, psychic development, fluidity, insight, reflection and money.
