These fun, cheerful earrings feature matte red acrylic papel picado charms, combined with colorful glitter acrylic connectors, and glass crystals in pink and clear, with stainless steel settings.
Papel picado translates to "perforated paper." It is a form of traditional Mexican folk art, often shown included in Dia de los Muertos festivities, but the banners can be used for any kind of celebration. If you're not familiar with this art form, I encourage you to check it out!
The earwires shown are stainless steel leverbacks; all metal components are stainless steel.
See photos for size reference. Please note that these are a bit heavier than my typical acrylic earrings, though not by a lot. These weigh .34 ounce per earring; a US quarter weighs .22 ounce.
Like everything I make, this piece is made with love and infused with Reiki.
