This lovely necklace features lapis lazuli, Czech glass, tiny coated pyrite spacers, and a handmade goddess focal by Serena Smith Lampwork.
Like everything I make, this piece is made with love and infused with Reiki. It would even make a lovely set of unconventional prayer beads!
The approximate length of this piece as shown is 20". For size reference, the neck of the bust is about 11 1/2"; the artist's neck is 17 1/2".
The crimp beads, pendant bail, bead caps and spacers are sterling silver. All other metal components are hypoallergenic, high quality stainless steel.
Everything is strung on sturdy, flexible, nylon-coated 49-strand stainless steel beading wire.
Metaphysical Properties
Lapis lazuli is a stone of truth, wisdom and sound judgment. It is also a stone of friendship, helping to encourage harmony. Lapis may help with issues related to the endocrine system, insomnia, blood pressure, pain and nervous system, inflammation or migraines; it may also increase spiritual self-awareness and growth. Lapis can help balance the throat and open the third eye chakra. May help with healing from trauma and depression. Wear for stress relief or place on or near the third eye to strengthen intuition.
Pyrite, also known as “fool's gold”, is widely associated with wealth and the sun. It is a protective stone that can ward off physical or energetic attack while also empowering one to stand up for what is right. Large pieces of pyrite are sometimes polished and used as mirrors for divination. Wear or keep nearby to increase vitality, inspire creativity and fend off mental fatigue. Enhances yang, the masculine energy inside all of us. Helps to seal and heal leaks and tears in the energetic body. Pyrite is a lucky stone, wonderful for manifestation work. May be helpful in breaking destructive habits; physically, it may help soothe pain, depression, swelling or symptoms of hormonal imbalances.
Silver increases perception and balances emotion. It enhances the moon's energy and can be helpful in energizing other minerals during full and new moons. The color silver is often associated with goddess(es), the moon, psychic development, fluidity, insight, reflection and money.
